Happy Holiday

Well folks "Thanksgiving" has rolled around again and it kicks off the mad shopping season.  As we look back on this year almost over we do so with heavy hearts for those burdened with unemployment, foreclosure, illness and the loss of loved ones in an unjust war.  These will not be the people standing out in front of the stores at midnight to shop for the latest electronic gadget.  They will look for those of us with more blessings than we can count to reach out to them and hopefully we will.

Our Native Americans do not celebrate Thanksgiving and in deference to them I would rather called this a holiday of Family.  Let not the turkey and the food be the main focus of this holiday but instead look around the table, count your blessings and love the family who are there and those who are not and keep them in your prayers as they struggle in their daily lives.

Happy Family Day to you all.
